ANTIOQUIA
Best of Antioquia
Medellín
Not long ago, Medellín was a city that was off limits to tourism. What a difference a few years make! From one of the world's most dangerous cities to the world's most innovative city, Medellín has undergone a miraculous transformation that must be seen to be believed.
Jardín
Jardín is regarded by many to be the most beautiful town in Colombia. Located a few hours southwest of Medellín, a day or two in this typical Antioquian town will always be remembered.
El Peñol
Climbing up the 700 or so steps of the huge monolith El Peñol can be exhausting but it's well worth it for the breathtaking views. It's located just a few minutes from the town of Guatapé.
Santa Fe
Hot Santa Fe de Antioquia is one of the oldest towns in the department. Take time to wander through the cobblestone streets then cool off in your hotel pool.
Jericó
Jericó could rival Jardín in beauty and has fewer tourists. Colorful colonial architecture and beautiful natural attractions make it a great place to spend some time.
Guatapé
Just a few minutes up the road from El Peñol is the colorful town of Guatapé, which is known for its zócalos (artistic panels) on each building in town.
